Our studio is equipped with premium Align reformers, a leading UK brand renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, precision, and support. The equipment allows for intelligent, adaptable movement that meets a wide range of bodies and abilities.
Studio at 1A was founded by Darcie, whose clinical training with APPI has given her an extensive understanding of the body, movement mechanics, and injury management. Her own discovery of Reformer Pilates became a turning point — creating a sense of strength, balance, and grounding for both physical and mental wellbeing.
That experience shapes everything we offer.
We believe Reformer Pilates should feel welcoming, considered, and accessible. Our studio is designed for people at all stages - not just those with prior experience - and our small class sizes allow us to truly get to know our clients, their bodies, and their individual goals.
Studio at 1A is a calm, supportive space where everyone can discover the transformative power of Reformer Pilates, and move in a way that feels strong, safe, and personal.

We currently offer three class types: Foundation, Intermediate, and Dynamic.
Foundation
Ideal for beginners, those returning to Reformer Pilates, recovering from injury, or anyone wishing to reinforce the foundations of movement. These sessions focus on technique, control, and alignment, and are beneficial for everyone.Intermediate
Designed for those who are comfortable with the fundamentals and ready to progress. These classes build strength, coordination, and confidence while maintaining a considered pace and strong focus on form.Dynamic
A more advanced, faster-paced class for experienced clients. Sessions may include the jumpboard, introducing a cardiovascular element alongside strength and control. This class is not suitable for those who are pregnant or managing an injury. -
Each session is capped at a maximum of six clients.
We intentionally keep classes small so every client receives the right level of care, support, and personalisation. Our instructors take time to get to know you, your body, and your individual goals, ensuring each session feels considered and supportive.
